Labour Day in Canada is celebrated on the first Monday of September and it is a federal statutory holiday. Many other countries celebrate Labour Day on May 1st.
This holiday officially celebrates workers and the labour union movement, however, most of us only think of it as the last long weekend of the summer – a perfect occasion for yet another canoe trip or BBQ.

Join us for breakfast. Mingle with fellow business owners while enjoying a breakfast buffet. Our next breakfast is Tuesday, June 29 2010 (7:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) at Wooden Sticks. This is our Annual Mayor’s Breakfast. Our guest speaker, Mayor Bob Shepherd, will be presenting his “State of the Township Address” and will be pleased to answer any questions you might have.
Cost for breakfast is $10.00 cash at the door for a buffet breakfast. Please feel free to bring a business associate with you. Also, door prizes are always gratefully accepted. Seating will be limited, so please confirm your seat with an RSVP.
